Along side iAltitude, the new iSpeed update has also been accepted onto the app store. I have posted the change log below.
- Improved the responsiveness of the info button.
- Enabled the network activity indicator on the top bar.
- Changed the info page’s web host to a more reliable web host.
- You can now shake to refresh the info page.
- Tested and working with iPhone OS 3.0.

Accuracy is not down to the application itself. It all depends on signal strength. For example if you are in an edge network the signal strength will not be as strong, however if you are in a 3G network the signal strength will be stronger. There are also other factors that affect signal strength such as, the height of surrounding buildings and whether you are inside or not.

I downloaded version 1.0.1 this weekend - os3.0 iphone s 16gb - elevations appear to be off by 100+/- feet - accuracy never gets better than 76ft.
